Mission Statement

The Office of Navajo Labor Relations monitors and enforces the Navajo Preference in Employment Act and assist employees and employers in addressing employment issues.

 

Announcements

Announcement to Navajo Nation Departments/Programs Managers:

If you and/or your staff are not very familiar on what your rights are with respect to your work environment, the Office of Navajo Labor Relations (ONLR) will be conducting orientation/training on the specific requirements of the Navajo Preference in Employment Act (Act) during Fiscal Year 2020. The orientation/training will be a two hour PowerPoint presentation with handouts. The orientation/training can be held at your department's conference room or at the ONLR Conference room in Window Rock, Arizona. The orientation/training will also include the ONLR's role with respect to the Act, and assist with any questions pertaining to, including what rights employees have within the Navajo Nation and what your employer's obligations are with respect to their workforce, work environment, etc. The basis of this presentation is educate you and/or your staff on what is out there that affects you as employees, employers, etc. within the Navajo Nation!
